“Jump the Moon has been a wonderful part of our family’s life for the past three years. It has given our daughter, who has Down syndrome, a welcoming and encouraging place to develop her artistic talents, build confidence, and form meaningful friendships. Through classes, exhibitions, outreach programs, and community events, she has grown both as an artist and as a person. Our entire family has been inspired by the creativity, acceptance, and sense of belonging that Jump the Moon fosters, and we are deeply grateful for the opportunities it provides to people of all abilities.“

“I love Jump the Moon! It’s such a great third space to connect with the community and get to create your own safe space! I have loved being able to create without judgement and without the fear of running out of ideas or motivation. Jump the Moon gives you the freedom to create in whatever way you want and gives you space to make a mess and be creative! It’s the best!“

“Jump the Moon Art Studio has been such a wonderful and welcoming place for both of my sons. As a mom of a special-needs child, it means so much to me to find a place where my son is welcomed, included, and encouraged to participate in his own way.
My son cannot do many things independently, but Jump the Moon never focuses on what he cannot do. Instead, they see what he can do and give him the opportunity, encouragement, and confidence to shine. They truly give him wings.
The instructors and amazing volunteers are incredibly kind, patient, caring, and understanding. Their support has made such a beautiful difference in my son’s life and in our family.
I also love that his brother can enjoy the experience alongside him. It gives both of my boys an opportunity to learn, create, have fun, and share special moments together.
I’m truly grateful to Jump the Moon Art Studio and all the amazing volunteers for creating such an inclusive, supportive, and joyful environment where every child feels valued, accepted, and capable. They have given my son more than art; they have given him confidence, joy, and wings to believe in himself.“

“Found out about this place through NPR when they announced that jumped the moon had received an award for helping folks with disabilities. Spoke at length with the director and my son was super excited. Today was his 1st visit and he was absolutely thrilled! Very caring professional artists! 10 out of 10 recommend.“

“Jump the Moon has been a meaningful part of our family’s life for the past eight years. It gave my daughter, Sara, a place where she was welcomed, accepted, and encouraged to express herself through art, bringing her joy and pride, especially when others purchased her work. Today, I continue to create there, surrounded by an inspiring community that has helped me grow as an artist and find healing after her passing. Now I have the joy of bringing my young grandson, who is welcomed with the same kindness and encouragement. Through every change over the years, Jump the Moon has remained a place of creativity, belonging, and connection for people of all ages and abilities.“

“I have volunteered at Jump the Moon for only (a few months) now and it has been such a joy. You get to meet people of all ages and circumstances in life and learn more about them in a creative fashion. I like how there is a little bit of something for everyone, such as painting, drawing, sculpting, paper mache, and so much more, even for the people who claim that they’re “no good at art.” Everyday I volunteer, there is something new to be tackled, whether that’s a big project like painting and rearranging the shelves or whether it’s something simple like doing some routine clean up; there’s almost never a dull moment. And that’s what makes Jump the Moon unique, because it’s a gathering place for everyone to do what they enjoy.“
